About College
Maharashtra College of Arts, Science & Commerce affiliated to University of Mumbai, was established in 1968 with a vision to bring higher education to the door steps of the economically underprivileged students, especially belonging to the Muslim minority, emphasizing on their all-round development. It is managed by Khairul Islam Higher Education Society, which was founded under the guidance of our President, Dr. Rafiq Zakaria, a veteran parliamentarian, writer, educationist and Islamic scholar.
About Maha-CARE
Maharashtra College’s Centre for Acceleration in Research and Entrepreneurship (CARE) which was launched by at Honorable Vice Chancellor of the University of Mumbai Prof. Suhas Pednekar on 16th March 2019 aims to promote innovation and entrepreneurship skills amongst its students, faculty, employees, etc. CARE constantly strives to motivate the budding entrepreneurs from various disciplines of arts, science and commerce to convert their creative ideas into commercial ventures for personal, institutional, social and national benefit.
Maharashtra College’s CARE is organising an entrepreneurship competition titled ‘Tapping Creative Start-ups – A Step towards Atmanirbhar Bharat’to promote the Prime Minister’s mantra of Atmanirbharta.
About the Competition
Amidst this pandemic situation, many industries in the field of medicine, digital marketing, and social media have been indirectly or directly contributing towards the economy. New businesses have sprung up and existing economic and social sectors are learning to accustom to sudden changes. This competition aims to tap the creative talent to create employment opportunities and empower the nation. Following are the recommended themes to help spark your ideas.
