Research Centre Details – Subject-wise The Maharashtra college has established recognized Research Centres in Commerce, Urdu, and Botany under the University of Mumbai, demonstrating its strong commitment to research and innovation. These Research Centres were established during 2017–18 and 2018–19, each with an approved intake capacity of five Ph.D. scholars per subject. At present, a total of 15 Ph.D. scholars are registered across the three Research Centres, reflecting active research engagement. The Commerce Research Centre has enrolled five scholars, all of whom have either been awarded the Ph.D. degree or have submitted their theses, indicating strong research outcomes. The Urdu Research Centre currently guides five research scholars, all pursuing studies in diverse areas of Urdu literature and cultural studies. The Botany Research Centre supports five Ph.D. scholars, working in the areas of phytochemistry, mycology, medicinal plants, and freshwater ecosystem research. The centres function under the supervision of recognized and experienced research guides, ensuring academic rigor and ethical research practices. Overall, the Research Centres significantly contribute to knowledge generation, interdisciplinary research, and the development of research skills among scholars.
